Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2023

This Privacy Policy describes how TeslaPlay ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our web-based application (the "Service"). Your privacy is critically important to us.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

TeslaPlay is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or process any personal information from our users. This includes, but is not limited to:

We do not use cookies for tracking purposes. No user accounts are required to use the Service, and we have no way of identifying individual users.

2. How Your Data is Stored

All data related to your use of TeslaPlay, such as your customized list of applications, selected region, and other settings, is stored exclusively in your web browser's Local Storage on your device (i.e., in your Tesla's computer).

3. Third-Party Services

TeslaPlay allows you to add and launch third-party websites and web applications. When you use these third-party services, you are subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party sites you access through our Service.

4. QR Code Functionality

The "Scan QR" feature uses a temporary, secure connection via Firebase to transmit a URL from your phone to your Tesla's browser. This session is anonymous, encrypted, and ephemeral. We do not log or store the URLs or any data associated with this process.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we encourage you to review it periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please use the 🗣️ Feedback button in the Help (?) menu directly within the TeslaPlay app.
